Do you realize at any point in your life, you can write your own story? I can remember being a young girl and knowing that I wanted to become and author when I grew up. As a matter of fact, I felt this calling in my soul from the 3rd grade if not earlier. I loved the idea of getting to use my imagination to create any story I wanted to write. As I dug deep into my mind, I lived in a world of possibilities where I could write about a character and she could become anything I wanted her to become. Joy truly filled my heart when I tapped into this endless journey of creativity. Then as I grew older, I realized that authors could create ripple effects across the world through the power of their words. So, I wanted to become the author that could change the life of another person to inspire and empower them to become the greatest version of themselves. Little did I know at the time, that the person’s life I would ultimately change with my words… would be my own.
One afternoon when I tapped into my truth by asking God to reveal truth in my life, I wrote my book “Through the Eyes of Truth – A Conversation with God about My Life, Your Life, & Discovering Our Purpose,” and I realized an entire new level of writing and of success. This being the relationship I had developed with God. You see, in the past I measured my success by another person’s approval of my work. Then after reading my book daily, I realized I had become the author of my own story. I became the creator of my life through the power of my pen and this allowed me the freedom to continue to deepen my relationship with God so I could continue writing two more books on my answered prayers. The gift became my relationship with my creator and not what I had once thought measured my success.
As you look at your life today, are you writing your own story? Are you working daily to create experiences that ultimately allow you to having a deeper relationship with God and with yourself? You are the author of your own story and how you choose your thoughts and your actions create the experiences you have. If you allow yourself to be open to the world of possibilities, then pray and ask God to reveal truth to you. Maybe Source is waiting for you to open your heart and your mind to the possibility that the only approval you need is from the world WITHIN you, not outside of you. After all, so many people in the world today are lost and also looking to discover their own path. How would they be able to guide you when you are the person who holds your own blueprint? In order to understand what makes your heart experience the greatest love, you need to look within your own heart.
Yet, all too often God calls us to walk our own life path in faith. This faith is something you must connect from within you, not from the world outside of you. Walking in faith means that you need to trust the ultimate vision God has shown you in the world of prayer and possibilities, and muster the courage to step one foot at a time on a path only you can create for yourself. This path is the story of your new chapter, and with each step you get to write a new experience for yourself. Your path may not become visible to anyone but yourself at first, so you must be willing to be your own motivator and realize that you won’t need the applause from the world around you. Are you willing to do this to create miracles in your own life?
For if you have a valuable message in which to share with self through discovering self-love, should you not be the intended soul who that message was shared with? If you desire to run a marathon, then grab a pair of tennis shoes and move your feet one step at a time until you are experiencing the love of pushing yourself beyond your own self-imposed limiting thoughts. If you desire to experience swimming and the freedom from which it brings into your body, then do that which your body and soul desire to experience.
You are so worried about pleasing another soul who has their own issues of self-love, you deny self the experiencing of living life to the fullest. Maybe the person who your story is intended to influence is actually yourself. Write the story of your life page by page as you live your life day by day in the fullest capacity. When you realize there is no one but self to impress then you allow yourself such a freedom of expression through living your own life. Suddenly your attention shifts from watching to doing, and from wishing to having all that you desire. Not because you are suddenly rich with wealth, but abundant in self-love and respect for self. Ask yourself what daily rituals you desire to experience that you have yet to allow yourself to perform.
For your life was never intended to be placed in the corner of your own mind while you watch another person live their own. You spend so many hours in front of the television and the internet that you no longer know yourself. As you study the celebrities and those souls who have learned to master their own life, you neglect to notice yourself until one day you look in the mirror and don’t even know who you are anymore. Do you think this is where your energy and focus was designed to be when you came into this journey through life, to experience yourself as a co-creator with God? I tell you this, you are wasting away your moments of authenticity when you choose to sit back and wait for your life to happen to you.
You have the power to create the greatest version of your life if you trust the power of prayer, the power of love, and the power of God. What is it you want to experience in your life today? Ask God and the answer will be given to you. Then you get to begin to act on this vision and create it one thought, emotion, and act at a time. hat are you waiting for? Your journey begins with a prayer.
