Do you know what your purpose is? Are you one of those lucky people who has always known what you wanted to become since an early age? If I could count the moments in my life that I spent searching for answers to my destiny, I would be able to measure them in years. It wasn’t until I realized that my purpose resides in my passion. Since I was a child, my earliest memories included two very specific things that I loved… writing and praying. I spent a great deal of time in my own head, constantly praying and talking to God as if he were my best friend, because Source in fact was my best friend.
I learned the more I spoke to God, the louder and more clear my God whispers became. Because I was so young, I never felt compelled to ask another person what Gods voice sounded like, because it just felt right. You know what I mean if you pray. You learn to hear and feel Gods presence in your life, and that energy is so sacred it never needs to be validated by another person. So, every day I spoke to God and shared with him my hopes, my fears, and everything in between.
Then came my love for writing. It began with poems, lyrics, and then finally books. There was always something about writing that connected me to God. It felt more like a prayer and meditation time than it did a forced work that I had to fight to create. Looking back now, it would make sense that my books have transformed into prayer books… and this is where I found my purpose. Writing makes me feel alive and allows me to connect with my creator in a way I never thought possible. I share my books because if they can allow even one person to realize that God hears their prayers, then the person who reads it and deepens their relationship with God is the one person who the book was meant to be shared with.
