Preparing the Mind to Win

untitled-designPreparing the Mind to Win is about pushing ourselves beyond our own perceived limits.  What are your new goals for the year? As a coach, my goal is always to help you realize your greatest potential and tap into your own God given talents, so you can be the Miracle Worker in your own life whether you are competing in a pageant or trying to accomplish a new life goal.

So many of us think if we just have faith in our dreams and in God, that we will accomplish our dreams. Not realizing that as co-creators with Source, we are already tapped into the greatest resource of all which is God. Yet the act of creating is not only about being but about doing. We understand as children of God that abundance is our birthright, but through our own creative ability, we need to act upon our intention to actually create the very goal we desire to experience in our lives.

When I competed in pageantry, God revealed to me a very specific set of goals I was going to accomplish. I heard my God whisper one afternoon which revealed to me I was going to win a state, national, and international competition before I retired from competing. When I heard this whisper, my first thought was that I could envision winning a state and even a national pageant, but the international pageant appeared very distant and unachievable. However, since I have always worked on developing my relationship with Source, I knew God would see me through these goals. Years later I looked back having won my state, national, and finally the Mrs. International Pageant in 2006.

Had I just relied on faith and believing in God, I would not have won these titles. I needed to be an active co-creator in my life towards achieving these goals. So, I set out to watch every competitive pageant I could get my hands on. I not only watched pageants from competitive systems in the US, but also watched pageants from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and other major competitive countries. Why? Because I wanted to know what the most successful women in the world all had in common when it came to the world of pageantry. You could say that I studied the art of pageantry.

I realized that competition was an illusion. If God had already revealed to me my destiny, then everything I needed to win these pageants I already had within me. I just needed to refine my modeling and stage presence, reinvent myself in the judges’ interview room, and understand the world of competition is an illusion. The amazing women I shared the stage with were not my competition, rather they were walking on their own journey towards their destiny through the world of pageantry.

My book, Preparing the Mind to Win was my way of sharing my toolkit for achieving my pageant goals, but life goals as well. Competition is an illusion and the more you walk towards your destiny and work at connecting your thoughts, emotions, and actions towards one common goal, the easier it will be to accomplish your goals. Whether you are on the pageant stage or the stage of life, realize you hold the power to create your greatest dreams and become a Miracle Worker in your own life! defining-your-goals-for-20171As we roll into the 2017, we have the chance to release old patterns of thinking and action that no longer serve our new goals. Preparing the Mind to Win is about setting new goals and creating a new opportunity to push ourselves beyond our own perceived limits.  What are your new goals for the year? whatsPreparing the Mind to Win is about creating miracles in your own life, so I ask you…what is your miracle? We are celebrating a New Year, and today I invite you to create a new miracle in your life. After all, every day we look at the world around us and witness people achieve the unimaginable. However, far too often we believe that we somehow lack the skills necessary to achieve our own dreams. After having to witness my brother-in-law slowly pass away from pancreatic cancer 2 years ago, I often asked myself the question, “if I knew today was my last day on earth, what would I have wished I would have accomplished?” These words resonate in my mind every day, but especially now that I have been blessed to ring in another new year.

Now I ask you, what miracle do you wish to create that you would have once thought to be unachievable? Your goals should push you out of our comfort level, so if you are looking at your list of goals and none of them scare you just a little, then you are not dreaming big enough. Every day God whispers the miracles into our souls that we are capable of achieving. These whispers often come in the form of inspirations, dreams, signs, and yes, even literal whispers into our ears of what is possible in our lives. When you hear these messages, are you listening and taking note of them? Or are you dismissing them as coincidences and just your imagination? Why not let 2017 be the year you created what you would have once considered to be an impossible goal?

The difference between dreams and goals are the focus and action you put into the creation of them. Let’s assume your goal this year is to win a competition. Whether it is a pageant competition or qualify for your state or national track meet… competition is competition. The prize may be different but the method of preparation with the mind is often the same. What makes us good at something as opposed to what makes us excellent at the same thing is the difference of time spent preparing. The mind understands an achievable goal once you define what that goal is, yet has a difficult time turning an intangible dream into a tangible goal if the creation of it ends in the thought process. Here is what I mean…

In order for your mind to understand the difference between imagination and creation, you must be as specific as possible when it comes to the creation of that very experience you wish to have. If your goal is to win your first pageant, then you must train your mind, body, and soul to create the experience of that goal before you even step foot onto a pageant stage. In the years I competed in pageantry, I can tell you only 3 instances when I created the experience of “winning” before I even competed. My first one was a state pageant, then a national, and finally my international pageant. These wins did not come down to luck or to the illusions others witnessed through their perception. Instead these achievements came down to being so specific in the goal I was trying to create, I tricked my mind into believing I already had accomplished these goals before I witnessed them in the world around me.

You have the power to create your life in the same manner, but preparation is key. What you focus on, you create. There is so much more to success than meets the eyes and don’t you owe it to yourself to push yourself beyond your comfort level to be the best version of yourself? happy-bodyHow many of you have included diet and exercise in your New Year’s goals? I will be the first to say that one of my 2017 goals is to have a stronger body and intake a healthier diet. I don’t eat unhealthy at all, but there is also room for improvement in my life to take control so I feel better in my own skin. If we are not being motivated by swimsuit season slowly approaching, then some of you are preparing for a competition that involves being judged to a degree, by the appearance of your body. When you prepare your mind to win through the achievement of a new goal or resolution, you are accepting there is room for improvement. We do not need a group of judges in a pageant or a group of strangers on a beach telling us whether or not our body is acceptable to them. However, if you enter a pageant where fitness is judged through swimsuit or fitness wear, then you in essence are asking for the approval of those judges.

If that isn’t enough to be fearful about, knowing we have to walk out in front of a group of people makes us feel exposed and vulnerable. Since we cannot control the opinions of others, we can control how we feel about ourselves. Remember that your thoughts, emotions, and actions create your experiences. If you can control those three factors in any creative process to support your desired outcome, then you have more control over your experience than you think. How then can you prepare your mind to win the fitness battle between you and those excess pounds you enjoyed over the holidays?

Remember that preparing your mind to win is about preparation … not perfection. Look at your ability to create the best body and fitness goal for your specific needs. Whatever you focus on, you create. We are energetic beings having a physical experience, so what you focus your energy on you create. Focusing on the outcome of what you want your body to be rather than the excess pounds you earned through weeks, months, or years of bad habits. It is about changing the patterns of thought and creation that you had in order to have a different outcome of what you have already created. Here are a few tips:

  1. What do you want: Be exact on either measurements or pounds you want to lose so your mind, body, and soul know what goal is the desired outcome. If you are trying to lose 10 pounds for a pageant, or strengthen your body to run faster for your next marathon, be specific on your desired outcome.
  2. When is your deadline: Every goal needs a deadline so you can turn it from an intangible dream to a tangible accomplishment. Set a realistic timeline when it comes to losing weight. You have spent months maybe years putting excess weight on your body, so be realistic when it comes to strengthening your muscles and finding your six pack again.
  3. What is your why? In order to create a specific goal you need to understand your motivation. This is the inner flame that drives you beyond the fear. Your motivation needs to be stronger than your fear of having your goal, so understand why you desire to create this in your life? What does it look like in your life and how is your life better for having it? Make a list of the healthy goals and how you will look and feel once you are at your ideal weight.
  4. Outside of self, who else will your goal affect? Will having a healthier lifestyle and being more fit affect others in your life in a positive way? Will you be able to possibly live longer through healthy eating, or be able to keep up with your children if you have a stronger body? Will being more fit allow you to teach others how to incorporate healthier lifestyles into their own lives? Who will you inspire and how can you be of contribution after achieving your goals?
  5. How will you achieve this goal? Every goal needs a road map and a plan as to how you will accomplish it. Write out your goal and the step by step process you will take in order to create the experience. Use as many of your senses as you can when you envision having the goal. How does it feel to achieve it, how does it look in your life, etc.

The act of creation is about thoughts, emotions, and actions so you must use all of your creative abilities to bring those goals you desire in your life. If you only think about achieving a goal and don’t act on it, then you have a wish and not a goal. If you pray and ask Source for the creation of your goal without actually being an active participant, then you are just praying for a miracle and not helping create one. You are a living miracle and your life is a gift, so push beyond your comfort zone and create the life of your dreams! the-rewardis-inthe-experiencePreparing the Mind to Win is about creating the experience of achieving our goal and experiencing the emotions of joy and excitement once we have achieved it. I believe everything we do has an underlying goal of experiencing the emotions of love and joy. Knowing this, we understand we can create the experience of winning our competition, or driving our new car even before the evidence of this is seen in our lives. By creating your intentions through thought, emotions, and actions, you can create a “win” or achievement of any kind repeatedly in your life before you realize the manifestation of it. We need to be clear on the experience we wish to create so we can deliberately create those experiences that will align us with our goals.

Creating the experience of winning a competition or owning your new dream home comes with its challenges. We are taught to only believe what our eyes can see, however in the world of creation we first plant the seed within our spirit. The unseen. If we wait to believe we can accomplish our greatest goals only after seeing them, we may be waiting for a long time. Why? You are the creator of your experience. In order to witness the creation of your goals in the world around you then you must first create the goals in the world within you. Ask yourself what experience you are trying to create in the process of winning a competition. Are you seeking to feel empowered? If so, then you must first create the feelings of empowerment within yourself. You do this by visualizing yourself in an empowered state of awareness.

When I was in pageant competitions, I realized my soul was trying to experience the emotions of feeling accomplishment and empowerment. Knowing the law of attraction states that whatever we think about we create, I began thinking about what it would feel like to already have the title I was trying to achieve. When you are attempting to gain a dream job or create a beautiful new home by the lake, you must first create the experience of already having these things in your life before you witness the manifestation of their creation. Competition is all in the mind. In order to “win” a competition, you need to understand what your life looks like after you have already achieved your goal. Be very detailed in the creation of this goal from the inside out. Only then will you realize that the competition was in fact a perception.

We don’t compete for any title, goal, or achievement. It may appear that way from the outside looking in, but there has to be a creator of that goal in order for you to want to experience it. If you want to be the state winner for an upcoming track meet, you know you must beat the existing record time. As you run you perceive yourself to be in competition for the record, but in fact you are creating the experience of beating that record during your preparation for the meet. You could beat the state, national, or world record off of a track meet and without another soul watching you from the stands. But if having an audience cheering you on while you race another for a perceived competition is part of your experience, then you can create the emotions as you prepare for it. You don’t need another person to validate your record time – only a stopwatch.

This is what I mean when I state your goal of the experience has to be so specific that you understand you are in control of the emotions you will experience once having your goals. It takes more than thinking about winning, as you must train your body daily to become stronger and faster. With this comes the emotions of confidence and empowerment as you witness yourself achieve your dream. Preparing your mind to win is about taking control of the experience you wish to have and using your mind, emotions, and actions to create the experience before you even witness it in the world around you. This is how you prepare for any perceived competition. By realizing that competition is an illusion that exists through the mind of fear. You don’t need to take anything from another that they have created in their experience. You can be a part of the journey alongside another person while experiencing your own greatness. luck-is-when-preparation-and-opportunity-meetPreparing the Mind to Win is not about luck… it is about practicing your craft until you become a master of it. Whether you are preparing your mind to win a spelling competition or a contest, you have control over situations that may appear to be uncontrollable. To create abundance of anything you want to experience, you must first create the experience from within. You have control over your thoughts, emotions, and actions, so as creative beings you have control over creating the experience for yourself before even stepping out on the competitive arena.

As spiritual beings having a physical experience, you control several important creative tools:

  1. Thought: What you ultimately desire to experience by entering any competition. When you realize you can control your thought patterns and understand your underlying “why” then you can create that experience before the outcome of the competition is even decided.
  2. Emotions: As spiritual beings, we are driven by emotion. After all, we are created from love and our souls seek the expression of love through relationships with ourselves, others, and our environment.
  3. Actions: A major component of the creative process is acting and working towards your ultimate goal. You can no more sit and just “think” on what you want without acting upon it and putting forward focused energy until you create the experience you seek to enjoy.

What you cannot control:

  1. Who you are competing with: I consider any competition a me, myself, and I sport because you can control so much of the process without even seeing who you are vying for the prize with. Knowing this, you create the intention of disciplined thought and action towards creating your desired outcome.
  2. Who your judges are: Whether you are in a pageant or any contest where you are being judged by a group of people, cannot control who has the final say as to whether or not you win. Understanding this will allow you to worry less about who is judging you and more on how you perform.
  3. Your environment: I have competed in a pageant where a former queen literally went back and pulled the microphone cord from the amplifier when I was singing during the talent competition. As soon as I was done, she plugged it back in again and it worked for the emcee and the remaining contestants. I know this because a family member walked back to the room where she was standing with her arms stretched out to block the door and prevent him from entering the room and plugging it in again. All of this was done while the Director watched. Although it broke my heart and my belief in pageantry, she apologized to me years later when she saw me at the state competition she tried so hard to prevent me from advancing to. I forgave her. I knew at an early age that God allowed me to see beyond my environment and realize the potential I had to create my dreams. You can as well. See beyond the perceived limitations and continue striving for what you desire to create.

Preparing your mind to win is about creating the experience you want to have through your own creative abilities so you do not leave the power to experience your greatness in the hands of luck. Luck is an illusion that is used to describe the unknown. That great unknown is the time, effort, and resources the person who won the competition spent for months or even years before finally achieving their dream. It is about the energy not shared on social media through “selfies’ and the countless hours Miracle Workers spend daily trying to achieve what the world would label impossible. You too have the power within your spirit to create even the most magnificent experiences. When you focus intently on creating what you desire to experience and practice your craft daily, especially when the world isn’t watching you.

What’s your miracle? What are you working towards creating that when you look back and someone asks you how you achieved the impossible… what will you tell them? Begin with a dream, follow it with a step by step process of how you are going to achieve that dream, and work tirelessly every day until it is realized. You are the creator of your experiences and you have such unlimited power as a child of God to bring joy in your own life, so what are you waiting for? action-planPreparing the Mind to Win is about creating an action plan that provides you a step by step process towards achieving your goal. So often we think about having our new goal and wonder what our lives would look like if we owned it now. Preparing our minds allows us to be fully invested in our goals through thoughts, feelings, and ultimately action. You can no more expect to achieve a goal by just sitting around daydreaming of having it, if you have not created a step by step plan towards achieving it. Thought and emotion will get you so far, but ultimately action is the final ingredient needed to bring that goal into your physical experience.

When I wrote my first book, “Through the Eyes of Truth – A Conversation with God about My Life, Your Life, & Discovering our Purpose,” I could have very easily left my dream of becoming an author half realized. It would have been easier for me to close my eyes and just hear my God whisper sharing with me information about how to create my life. Had I not applied the work of writing the book, editing, and finally publishing the book, I would not have created the opportunity to become an author. Furthermore, I took this instruction manual as my answered prayer and applied the lessons I learned through writing the book into my life today. I had to step out of my fear and create experiences that would bring more love into my life so I would have more love to experience.

The power of our thoughts can literally transform our lives to create such abounding joy, if only we learn to master our thoughts and use our own God given power to create new goals. What often happens is people will consider a goal they want to achieve and the thought then creates an emotion of joy. However, it is what we do in the next step that determines how successful we become at achieving new goals. Once our thoughts align with our emotions, we must take the action needed to complete the act of creating the experience. We can no more just sit around and think of being successful unless we act upon those thoughts to bring about the necessary changes for success.

I have worked with clients before who insisted they received confirmation from God that they were going to win a pageant. However when I asked them to share with me their plan of action for creating the “win,” their responses were very similar. They each informed me they were not changing anything about themselves. Needless to say, none of them won their pageants. They somehow convinced themselves the act of creation was something they were anointed with rather than having to create through action. As children of God, we are all anointed with the power to create, which is why we do it every moment of our existence. However what we create needs to be very specific so we can live joyous lives with more love than before.

Preparing your mind to win is about creating your experience through thoughts, emotions, and actions. If you are attempting to earn a full ride scholarship to the school of your choice, then you must apply yourself and study, pass exams, and fulfill your obligation to stand out among a sea of applicants who are all qualified. If you are trying to create a win through beating out your own best time of running a marathon, then it takes more than thinking about it and wishing for it. You must strengthen your body and develop your technique to the point you know exactly what you have done and how it will benefit you. If you cannot answer the question “how” when explaining how you achieve your goals, then you may need to take time to be develop a more specific plan of action for the creative process.

You need to understand how step A, impacts step B, which then creates step C. Ask yourself at every turn, how you are going to achieve your specific goals until you can no longer answer the how question because you have become very detailed. I believe this is where we often lose sight of our goals. We convince ourselves we don’t have the answers because we have never achieved a goal this lofty before. Then we convince ourselves of our worst fears and illusions so we can use them as excuses to remain comfortable in our discomfort. Fear is a strong illusion and you need to understand you can move beyond it by taking control of your plan.

If the fear of the unknown or the fear of failure crosses your mind, you may talk yourself out of your goal. You cannot just stop being in fear of failure, you must understand what your specific fears are and replace them with new patterns of creating. Look at your creative process as a toolkit to help another person create the life of their dreams. If you can understand the specific techniques you applied to become successful and be able to share them with another, then you are on your way to understanding how you think, what you desire to feel in the experience, and ultimately what actions you need to take to make your dream a reality. fearsPreparing the Mind to Win is about winning the battle against our fears. I believe when we challenge ourselves to achieve any goal, we have at least one major fear attached to that particular goal. Why? Because often new experiences create a certain level of anxiety only because it is a new experience for us. As creatures of habit we become comfortable with creating repetitive behavior and thoughts even though these patterns may not serve our greater good. Even if the experience of the unknown is our fear then we need to identify what may prevent us from wanting to create a new experience for ourselves.

Just as the concept of competition is an illusion, so often is the concept of fear. Now there are many things we should be afraid of to keep ourselves safe. Do not confuse fear of getting run over by a truck if you step out in front of one to the fear of stepping out of your comfort zone to work hard at achieving your life dream. One of those fears will send you to the hospital and the other may send you to your God given journey of abundance of love and joy. The fear I refer to are the illusions we often adopt from another person due to their perception of success. It can even be a fear we adopt ourselves due to a negative experience we once had, and used that experience as an excuse to remain frozen in our path to success.

By identifying your fear, you understand how much of that fear is reality and how much is an illusion created by the perception of what you considered to be truth. When I began competing in pageantry in college, I participated in local pageants for the opportunity to compete in my state preliminary for a national pageant. This was one of my first pageants, so I worked very hard on perfecting my talent competition. Among 10 or so contestants I was somewhere in the middle, and I will never forget what happened when it came my turn to sing. I began my first few sentences with the microphone working, then suddenly the mic stopped working. Never having experienced this before, I continued singing because I could see one of their former winners with her crown and banner, standing in front of the doorway that led to the small area the sound system was stored.

As I continued trying to sing as loud as I could, the sound of my voice was not easily heard and I saw one of my family members walk back to the doorway where the Director and queen now were and the queen was blocking the doorway and would not allow anyone in to fix the sound system. After I completed my song, I walked off the stage and turned around in time to see her walk back into the sound room. The next contestant quickly took her place to sing and the microphone worked perfectly once again from that point on. Needless to say, I did not place in that local pageant and it broke my heart. Not because the judges didn’t get to hear me sing, but because I felt the microphone not working was something that could have been remedied.

As I drove home that night, I swore I would never compete in another pageant again. My heart was broken, I was embarrassed, and I felt emotionally defeated. I had adopted the illusion that pageants were somehow unethical, and it took me months to get the nerve to try another local pageant. Not only did I win the next local pageant, but went on to place in the top 4 at the state pageant later that year. While preparing my mind to win, I had to defeat my greatest fear so I could continue moving forward in my pageant journey. The fear for me was understanding that I could not control the actions of another person, but I could control how I reacted to circumstances beyond my control. I chose to react by staying determined to compete at the state level and showcase my singing to an audience, just for my love of performing. The greatest moment for me was not that I achieved the honor of third runner-up at the state pageant, but what happened immediately after the pageant. The queen who pulled the mic cord during my performance at the first local pageant, approached me on stage after photographs and placed her hand on my arm and apologized to me. She had tears in her eyes and I saw the light of God in her spirit, and knew she was truly sorry. I forgave her that moment, and knew what it felt like to win the battle over my greatest fear.

untitled-design1Preparing the Mind to Win is about creating the experience of “winning” your goal before you have even manifested it into your reality. As spiritual beings having a physical experience, we are co-creating every moment in our journey. However, who we choose to co-create our lives with will ultimately determine whether we create experiences of love or fear.  I believe we desire to experience the emotions of achieving any goal, which is why our minds work so hard at training our bodies to work harder for it. The emotions of joy, empowerment, and self-love are just a few of the emotions I believe we desire to experience throughout our lives. I don’t necessarily believe it is the prize we want as much as we think we do. It is the experience of creating love in our spirit that pushes us towards striving for greater accomplishments.

Knowing this, how much attention do you spend creating your goals with God and how much time do you spend creating them through the eyes of the world around you? Although the question may appear insignificant, it is very important to understand if you actually want to achieve everything your heart desires to experience. Creating your goals and your experiences through the eyes of God allows you to be the driving energy force behind determining what your dreams, are and how you can transform those dreams into tangible goals. The experience of achieving any goal is the experience of “winning” we ultimately desire to know.

I spend at least 40 minutes every morning in meditation and prayer. This helps me prepare my day by understanding the experiences I can control, but most importantly, this allows me to start my day with God as my GPS system. If I have not tuned into my God whisper, I cannot effectively do my job to the best of my ability when I coach my clients, write my books, or focus my energy on creating loving experiences. It becomes too easy to get distracted by social media, texts, and the thousands of “imprints” we deal with on a daily basis. Starting my day knowing the direction I want to proceed and the best course of action to take, allows me to stay focused and tune out the noise.

When I go into meditation, I envision the only two sources of energy, being myself and Source (God). I understand that God is experiencing this journey through me just as Source is experiencing this life journey through every soul. We are never separate from our Creator except through our perception of being separate. Meditating allows me to experience the world of endless possibilities through the eyes of truth. I feel every morning what it is like to experience having my greatest goal in my life now. When I pray, there is no separation between time and illusion. The emotions I create through my communion with God makes me feel the experience of achieving my “win” this very moment, without the evidence of it seen in the world around me. So, the more I repeat these meditations, the more my mind understands the reality I already have my dream and will see it realized soon in the physical world.

I practiced this type of meditation every day for many months before I competed in, and won both my national and international pageants. I realized the more I envisioned already having the “win,” the harder it was for my mind not to understand it wasn’t already a reality. Because I could envision the details every day through meditation, my actions began to support the reality of already having my dream. I carried myself differently, I began scheduling events that I would have attended if I already won, and I felt more at ease every day. There was no separation between my illusion and my reality. Since love was my overpowering emotion, then it became easier and easier to believe I already won these pageants before I even stepped foot onto the stages.

Co-creating my experience with God also allowed me to focus on the voice of truth rather than on the voices of fear from others around me. Many of us have people in our lives who pretend to be our friends and give us the impression they want us to succeed. However, when we begin stepping towards success, they attempt at any cost to reroute us back into fear. Often, they will do it with a smile on their face and pretend they are doing it for our greater good. However, as children of God our souls know when we are being lied to. We can either choose to believe what we see or continue in our world of illusion, pretending another knows what is better for our lives than we do. This is why it becomes so important to co-create with God.

Step into your greatest version of self now by co-creating your life with God and realizing you have unlimited power within you to experience your greatest miracles. They are just one realization from being a part of your experience! following-your-purposePreparing the Mind to Win is about understanding your purpose and coming from a place of contribution. We all have the power to create a positive ripple effect in our homes, communities, or in the world around us. Yet we often fail to achieve our greatest potential because we think we need someone else to define for us what that purpose is. Whether you enter a pageant or any perceived competition, realize you have the power within you now to begin creating your ripple effect. As a coach, I continually hear people tell me they intend to do amazing things once they win the contest they have entered. Yet I ask you, what is preventing you from doing these things today?

In your mind, you may have created the illusion that who you are now is not good enough to be heard or your message to be shared. However, what if you are being called to make a difference in someone else’s life who is just waiting to become inspired by you? Would you continue waiting for a group of judges to grant you permission to follow your path, or would you own your life today and create opportunities that may lead to more people hearing your message months from now? Each of us are born with the power to change lives, and starting with our own is where the foundation is built. You do not need to wait for a crown, banner, or a prize in order to move forward on your path into empowerment. Believing you do will keep you trapped in the same limiting thoughts and patterns of action.

Whether you are preparing your mind to win a competition or achieve a personal goal, God has blessed you with the gifts to come from contribution today. Waiting for another person or event to take place before you move forward on creating your goals is like waiting for a cake to bake without actually performing the act of baking it. You are the creator of your greatest life experiences, so use the power God has blessed you with today to begin creating your ripple and changing the lives of others who may need to hear your message in order to move beyond their fear. As spiritual beings having a physical experience, you do not need to wait for a “perfect” situation to happen before you create your greatest miracles.

There comes a point when we need to be accountable for what we dream and how we turn these dreams into tangible goals. Altering your perception of what you have control over will allow you to realize the only things you need to create your greatest miracles all lie within you. These are the power to think, feel, and act. Everything else will align to your goals when you take action and begin creating them one action at a time. Waiting for another person’s approval or for the perfect situation to occur before you empower yourself gives away your power and places you in the illusion that you have no control over your own life.

This is such a short and sacred journey wouldn’t it be more exciting to know you lived everyday being the miracle workers you are? You will be in a greater place of gratitude and find as you create amazing experiences, that you have more experiences to be grateful for. Meanwhile, live inspired Miracle Workers!

happybirthdaymy-lovePreparing the Mind to Win is about understanding that failure is not an option. When you seek your greatest purpose from within the walls of your own soul, realize God has a path created specifically for you. This path is usually not to be walked among the masses but to be taken as a sacred journey to connect you to your greater purpose. So often we walk through the road of life following the paths that others have created before us. Yet how often do we question whether these roads serve our greater good? Normally, as creatures of habit we tend to walk through life with our eyes closed and our soul craving something deeper and more meaningful. However, because we don’t understand where we are traveling, we seek comfort through the world outside of us rather than through our connection to God in prayer.

I believe we each receive God whispers throughout the moments in our lives, and it is up to us as to whether or not we want to honor those whispers or ignore them as coincidences. My journey into the world of pageant coaching began years before when I lost my mother to breast cancer. I shared my story in my book, Creating Queens Secrets in Pageantry, and writing the words was one of the steps I needed to take towards healing the part of my soul that still felt unworthy of receiving Gods blessings. As I traveled through the path in my life that led me to coaching, I realized I was given second chances along the way. Although I would never be able to call my mom before her passing to tell her I loved her, I am shown glimpses of grace that she is still very much around me. She appears to me in dreams and her presence reminds me of her energy that she is still very much alive.

Had I not promised myself after her loss that I would honor my God whispers, I would not have entered the Mrs. International Pageant which I later won in 2006. I would not have written the first of many books titled Through the Eyes of Truth, and I would not have honored my calling as a Pageant and Life Coach. Although my journey was often walked in blind faith and courage, I knew in my heart that the one Source who was guiding me through my life was in fact God whispering into my soul. These and so many other moments in my life would not have occurred if I had not chosen to shut out the noise of the world and tune into the voice of my Creator who was guiding me along my path. These moments did not occur because I was more worthy than anyone else, but because I was obedient to my calling.

Preparing the Mind to Win is about conquering our fear of the unknown and chartering into waters that may appear to be deep and turbulent. When you claim your “win,” you in fact have claimed your purpose and your calling. Since the idea of competition is an illusion, I believe any win we claim in this journey through life is against our own fears and our own perceived limits. We have the ability to create miracles in our own lives and become an instrument of inspiration to at least one soul walking this journey who may feel alone and isolated. Your “win” is about breaking down the walls of self-judgment and self-doubt, and realizing that as a child of God you have the power within you to create the greatest experiences you have only dreamed of.

Knowing this, it becomes easier to understand that failure is not an option in this journey. The only failure is the perceived lack of attempt on your part to walk that road that only you can create a new path for. We are not here to become imitations of others around us, but to celebrate in the greatness that we are all children of God and cannot fail at our experiences. Whatever God has in store for you that only you can create, is already waiting to meet you on your path of life. Your role is to connect to your experience and live in gratitude until you realize it in the physical world. Stop worrying about being judged by others who are as imperfect as you are. Instead, seize your moments because you have one chance at this amazing life, and abundance in anything you love is your birthright.

Until next time, live inspired Miracle Worker!
